Engineer For Fun — engineerforfun.com
Hi, I am Aditya Pacharne and I am an engineer for fun. I like to learn about systems that are supposed to be fast, since usually these systems are pillars of modern infrastructure.
My weapon of choice is C, C++. That's it.
"Switching to C is faster than reloading" ~ Me
Projects
1. Lock-Free SPSC Queue — Built a 200ns latency SPSC queue in C++ using atomics and memory orderings.
2. Memory Allocator — malloc, free, realloc from scratch. Boundary-tag allocator with a doubly linked free list. Had a lot of fun working on it.
3. SSH Implementation — Full SSH in C++ from scratch. Handshake, Diffie-Hellman, key exchange. Because why not.
More about me
Best way to catch my attention is to talk about latency or throughput issues in a 1532.2m radius around me.
I try to write good quality code, since I don't like the way the CPU looks down at me when I don't.
I have a YouTube channel where I record myself working on projects or learning about them. I don't use AI at all (*Terms and Conditions apply).
Apart from programming, I practice MMA, primarily Wrestling and JiuJitsu. It's fun.
*Terms and Conditions
It's completely fair if you are stuck on an issue for 1 hour which you are not able to debug.
Haven't counted but only used AI about 5 times between both the SPSC Queue and Memory Allocator projects combined.
Chant his name into the Terminal and the path shall show itself.
